JAYJAY HELTERBRAND, NOT RETIRING

I'm one of the die hard GINEBRA fans. I'm one of those millions going crazy with ginebra. I love the tandem of Mark Caguioa known as The Spark and Jayjay Helterbrand known by many as Helter Skelter. Because of their intensity during the games, they've been given a moniker which really depicts their ability to penetrate in the playing court. They are now known as The Fast and The Furious. Helterbrand being "Mr. Fast" really shows off his quickness everytime he's playing while Caguioa "Mr. Furious" always excites us in his moves all the way to the basket.

Last year, Jayjay Helterbrand silently announced his retirement plans due to personal reasons, he wants to be with his daughters back in the United States. The Ginebra fans became quite emotional because Helterbrand is just 35 years old and a promising athlete. He won MVP in PBA's 2008-2009 season, won back to back Best Player of the Conference in 2008 and 2009 Fiesta Conference and a lot more. He bagged several awards and recognition under his name. And currently, he is considered one of the best point guard in the league.

Late last year, Ginebra lost to Rain or Shine in a heartbreaking defeat. Helterbrand is really disappointed that time because it might be his last game. Emotions went off as fans and team is about to bid farewell to Mr. Fast. Before Christmas, Helterbrand announced he's not leaving the Gin Kings. Well it's a good news for all Ginebra fans! I love it when Helterbrand says “I cannot imagine myself wearing another jersey. I want to retire as a Gin King,” sooooo sweeeeetttt!
