REVIEW: REVLON COLORSTAY 2-WAY FOUNDATION WITH SOFTFLEX

Happy New Year everyone!!! Time really flies fast! It's 2014 already, hope that good things will come this year!

Anyway, i decided to review one of my trusted brands in foundation, Revlon.

Revlon 2-way foundation comes in sleek black with mirror and separate tray for the sponge. I seldom use the sponge because i prefer to use a kabuki brush instead, i can say that the sponge is a nice and high quality. I'm not a fan of 2-way cakes because i think that liquid/cream foundation are more reliable. I never tried this with sponge.

I'm in the shade of 05 Sand Beige.

In terms of the coverage, it doesn't cover that much. it has a light to medium coverage. a good liquid foundation or concealer is a must.

With its staying power, this is superb. though Revlon says that it can stay up to 16 hours, as an oily skinned i'm impressed to products that lasts on me for 5 hours. Everytime i use this i just grab my tissue and blot it on my face after 4 to 5 hours.

As for the price, i can't complain much because it's "Revlon" of course. But, compared to my Maybelline's All in Foundation, i think Maybelline fits me well.

PROS

  • wide variety of shades
  • available in all leading department store nationwide
  • staying power
  • no weird scent
  • packaging
  • separate tray for the sponge

CONS
  • a bit pricey for its performance
  • has light to medium coverage (or maybe, i was expecting too much)
