My Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation is almost running out so I have to purchase a new one. I went to Cinderella in Glorietta to check out Missha. Revlon is just beside Missha so I checked it too. I have no plans on buying the Whipped Cream Foundation but their SA is very good. She was able to convinced me so, I bought it. Same as my liquid foundie, Sand Beige is her suggested shade for me.
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Cream claims to control more oil and cakes in the face. No need to use a powder to set the makeup. It can be used alone and blends really well.
REVLON says:
Wears up to 24 hours. Talc-free. Buildable to full coverage.
Bouncy, whipped formula feels ultra light and silky smooth.
Let’s talk about the packaging first, I told that I hate the packaging of the liquid foundation because it has no pump or whatsoever to help me get the product conveniently, well I should say that even it’s not convenient, it was more hygienic. This whipped cream foundation is packed in a round glass container and you need to grab the product thru your fingers. You don’t have to turn it upside down to get the product but putting your fingers inside the container everytime you use it is something I hate. Of course germs will start to build up.
So, what I did was, wash my hands with soap, double it with an alcohol, let it dry then, time to dip the fingers in the container. Another thing, sometimes I use a small spatula to take enough product once so no need to dip it again.
About the performance, it was superb! I’m so in love with this foundation! Compared to the liquid foundation this one dries fast so you really need to blend it well immediately. It controls oil more and I like the finish. They said that this one can be used alone but, I still see the need to set it with a powder for more matte finish.
It cakes on me after the day (more likely after 8 hours). It’s not an issue with me since it helped me all day.
It gives me a medium to full coverage and helped on covering my imperfections. I don’t use a concealer anymore.
