REVIEW: GNC Vitamin C Moisturizing Cream

I’m not fond of using moisturizing cream on my face because i have a very oily skin. I thought that it will produce excessive oil. However, my derma told me that moisturizing cream is a must. Our face produce more oil due to excess sebum.

Sebum is the natural fatty, oily substance produced by the body's sebaceous glands and secreted through our hair follicles to keep our skin and hair soft and healthy. These glands are all over the body, but most are concentrated on the face, chest, shoulders and upper back. When the body makes too much sebum, a state calledhyperseborrhea, pores can become clogged by the excess. For more details, click here

The goal of moisturizing your skin is to hydrate your skin, failure to hydrate your skin might result to different skin problems.

Vitamin C or known as Ascorbic Acid is very helpful, it’s our defense to any kinds of illness. It is also proven to heal wounds. I thought of getting a vitamin c cream to help my acne/pimples heal faster and getting rid of them. I also asked my derma if i can use this, and she said yes but, be careful to any adverse reactions. My face might break out with this because our face have this characteristic of “hiyang”.

I used this until I emptied the tub. I must say, I didn't have any breakout using this however, I don’t see any improvement or special happening to my face (or maybe because I just used it for one and a half month?) haha! Anyway, since I don’t have major breakout with this product, I plan to buy again and try it longer, then maybe I’ll see some improvement.

Thumbs up for its price as well!!! For only P 175.00 you will get this tub that can last up to 1 ½ month. However, only GNC stores carry this. So, better look for GNC branches near your place. They’re also available online, click here for those of you who are far from their branches.
