I was in awe when I learned that it is Landmark’s Cosmetics Fair for the whole month of October. So here I am, thinking of stuffs that I can buy to add in my collection.
I came across this Final Powder from Nichido which I think is a great buy for only P 150.00 the plastic container is big and packed with powder. It’s cheap, I know but, I was lucky enough to have an additional 10% discount, so from 150.00 now, it’s P 135.00. It is available in 3 shades: Creamy Glow, Ivory Glow and So Natural. I got the shade in So Natural. I thought that So Natural is fine with me because it is the darkest shade of the 3 and yes, I failed.
When I got home, it is more of a pinkish tone and I’m more of a yellow tone (toooo bad). Maybe the lighting in the mall is really different. I know I can use this but, I refrain because it doesn’t compliment on my skin tone. I decided to use this in one of my clients and asked her if I can use this to her, she said yes. So, here it goes, the shade matches her skin tone very well, it doesn’t cake or fade on her (she has a normal – dry skin). The powder is fine and easy to work with. It makes her face matte. Now, upon seeing the result on her, I tried to use it for myself. Upon application, I did not notice that the shade is more pinkish, it blends well. However, I think that this product won’t work for people who have oily skin. It doesn’t control oil and only last for one hour on me (retouch is badly needed).
The packaging is very nice, I love it. Same packaging as their Brozing Powder (to read the review, click here). It comes with a
sponge that you can use for application but, I applied this using a kabuki
brush. Just tap some powder on the cap and start applying this. It comes in 25g
which for me is a pro. The bad part here is, it’s a bit messy for me, either
you’re using the puff or a brush the powder can go everywhere.
PROS
- Affordable (P 150.00)
- Locally available
- Packaging (though it’s simple I find it very classy)
- Makes your face matte (for normal - dry skin)
CONS
- Puff / Sponge not useful for me
- Messy (you can dust off anyway)
- Smell - not that bad but, I’m not a fan
- Not intended for oily skin
